Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses cookies to maintain and protect your session. Google sign-in also involves Google's authentication service and its own cookies. Preferences such as display theme or language may be stored in cookies or localStorage.

Signed-in lyric projects, original audio and edits are saved privately to your account cloud. Guest drafts are temporary and are not persisted. Interrupted-task recovery identifiers and workspace preferences may use localStorage on this device, with recovery from legacy sessionStorage. These are functional browser storage, not advertising trackers. They may remain after signing out or deleting your account. Older versions may have left device-local project data in IndexedDB; this is separate from current cloud projects.

Self-hosted Umami records basic page views and visitor counts. It is not configured to send recordings, lyric text or processing results as analytics events. Live-chat integrations are not enabled. We do not currently configure advertising or retargeting cookies. This does not mean that essential hosting or authentication services never process technical information.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies and clear localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB through your browser's site-data settings. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent sign-in. Clearing browser data does not delete cloud projects, but may remove preferences, recovery identifiers and any legacy device-local data. You can delete cloud projects in the workspace. Deleting an account removes its cloud project records and stored audio; browser data must be cleared separately.

If additional optional tracking is enabled later, we will update the policy and provide any required choices before it runs. We do not treat this policy alone as consent to advertising cookies.
